We have so far purchased three sporty wheelchairs for the Norwich Lowriders Wheelchair Basketball club & with your help, we aim to buy one more bespoke sporty wheelchair for this inspiring team. Each bespoke sporty wheelchair costs between £2000 - £5000.

Norwich Lowriders wheelchair basket ball team is made up of boys and girls of all ages, and all children are physically disabled with many going to mainstream schools. The club was started to enable disabled children to participate and enjoy sport, which they are not always able to do at school, to encourage individuals to integrate in to a social environment and to feel empowered.

It encourages all ages with all abilities to play together. It's a chance for the community to come together and support each other, encouraging social interaction and developing social skills for groups and individuals. Some players found an improvement in motor skills and coordination,from barely holding the ball to shooting baskets and from silence to having a group of friends. This provides an invaluable source of confidence to all members which will help them in other parts of their lives.
