Katie, Gill, Leyla and Maureen are team Numbers Knowledge Knuckles Notes and we are taking part in the #FACEoff Charity Challenge
Its a Charity Battle of the Bedfordshire Businesses and takes place on Thursday 9th June 2016
The event is being run at Canoe trails www.canoetrail.co.uk and will include canoeing and an afternoon of tough survival and problem solving challenges.
It will be a challenging day and we will certainly all be outside of our usual comfort zones, conference rooms, music studios and treatment rooms but our real aim is to raise as much money as we can for FACES a fantastic charity based in Bedford - http://www.facesbedford.org
Even if you can give us £5, this will make a big difference. Here’s a list of what your money can do. Any money you give will go to FACES as the team have already covered the cost of the challenge!
£5.00 pays for a small gift for a child (colouring books, crayons, reading books). Volunteers often take these to the family visit with them so that they can play and interact with the children or it sometimes helps to keep the children busy whilst we talk to the parents about what support they need.
£10.00 – pays for emergency electricity or gas for a family in financial crisis (this happens regularly when families have no money, the children are left without the basic necessity of electric or gas)
£25.00 - pays for a bag of fresh groceries, milk, fruit etc. for a family in crisis (Food bank provides dry goods but often a family in crisis need fresh food)
