Our Nutri Hoops & Nutri Netters programme has created a fun, welcoming space for children aged 18 months to 5 years and their parents across Milton Keynes to learn, move and grow together. Through basketball, netball, music and simple nutrition activities, families build healthy habits in a way that feels joyful, supportive and easy to continue at home.
Thanks to funding from MK Community Foundation, these sessions have been completely free, allowing families from all backgrounds to take part side by side. Alongside families who attend regularly, we also work closely with local partners to offer places to those who need it most, including referrals from Family Centres, children living in domestic abuse refuges, and young children in foster care.
This mix is what makes the sessions so special. It’s a space where everyone belongs, where parents support each other, and where children build confidence, friendships and essential early skills. Parents tell us they really enjoy the sessions with their little ones and children feel more confident making healthy choices, and children are becoming more active, social and ready for school.
Now that our initial funding has come to an end, we would love to keep this programme going for all families.
By supporting this fundraiser, you are not just helping your own child continue to benefit, you are also helping another family who may not otherwise be able to attend. Your support keeps sessions free, inclusive and open to everyone in our community.
Together, we can make sure every child has the chance to start life healthy, happy and confident.
