Oak Lodge Primary School SANTA DASH 2021

The route will be around 21km - the same as a half marathon - but each family will only be asked to run around 300-500 metres - and you can walk, crawl, hop, jump or do whatever you want to get round!  In some cases more than one family will be running a section at a time!

 

We are hoping to see lots of you don your xmas jumpers, reindeer ears, Santa hats or full on Santa outfits to dash, dance, or prance your way around West Wickham while raising money to support Oak Lodge School! There will be prizes!!! More details will follow but the competition categories are as follows:

Best kids costume wins a selection box
Best adult costume wins a bottle of prosecco

Most festive family wins a tin of sweets
Best homemade kids costume wins a selection box
Most realistic Santa wins a tin of shortbread biscuits

The event has been organised and run by the Friends of the School Association (FSA). The FSA is a team of parent volunteers from Oak Lodge who run a charity that works alongside the school. Amongst other things, we arrange events such as this to raise funds to go towards providing facilities and equipment to enhance the school and advance the education, development, and wellbeing of the children.   

The pandemic has brought about challenges for the school and we were unable to fundraise in our usual ways. We have been working hard to organise different events this year and any money raised will be spent improving the outdoor spaces in the school and providing more IT equipment. Both of which have become a priority due to the pandemic and the school adapting to the difficulties that this presents. We are asking each family to raise at least £5 towards this.
