We are establishing an Opportunities Fund to provide financial support to our young people who are exiting homelessness and want to pursue further education or training . The fund will be a flexible resource that we manage, that the young people we support can apply to in order to pursue their education gaols and expand their opportunities for a career.

The fund will focus on enabling our young people who are exiting homelessness to overcome the financial barriers to achieving their goals and enter employment, education or training. Increasing costs mean that more vulnerable young people are excluded from higher education due to increased costs in fees and living expenses. We want to change that. We are setting up a fund which will support the most vulnerable young people, who have no, or very little family support, to be able to pursue further education.

This project will provide a once in a lifetime opportunity to the young people we support to challenge themselves, pursue their goals and improve their future career opportunities. The Opportunities Fund will be co-ordinated and managed by Oasis Aquila Housing using a fair system to process applications to the fund. All funds will be distributed fairly and evenly, the fund will be included in Oasis Aquila Housing’s independently audited annual accounts.
