The group would have 6 workshops run by a local poet. The other six sessions would be given to socialising with a philosophical slant. Philosphical concepts would be discussed meaningfully
Why they need our serviceThe group already meets once per month and would like something to focus on. People diagnosed as mentally ill often become preoccupied with questions such as 'Do I really exist, what is morally good, where does knowledge come from and does God exist?' Such questions can lead to further unease. Constructive discussion is needed. We find feelings are released when writing or listening to poetry.
Plan and expected resultsThe plan is to provide constructive criticism for poems so that everybody will know where they are in the poetry world and the really talented will be encouraged to take their place with mainstream poets. In philosophy the plan is to reduce philosophy to four basic questions. The result in both cases would be interesting conversationalists
