Elevate is a songwriting and guitar programme designed to provide young musicians with the tools and guidance they need to pursue their passion for music. The programme includes instruction on the fundamentals of guitar playing and songwriting, as well as opportunities for hands-on learning and practice. Participants will have the chance to collaborate with other young musicians, receive feedback from experienced mentors, and perform their original songs in a supportive environment.
Volume Control is an award winning youth events and industry enterprise mentoring programme. The aim of the project is to support young people aged 14-19 in developing, planning, and delivering their own live music events by providing mentoring and a dedicated space, that will give them the opportunity, skills and confidence to realise their full potential. In the process of doing this they also learn about several other elements of working in the music sector from artist liaison and booking acts, to press and promotion, stage management, sound engineering, ticketing, and more.
Acoustic Picnic is a beloved monthly event that brings families together for a day of music, art, and dance. This well-established family fun day is completely free of charge, providing a space for families to come together, bring a picnic, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of live music and creative activities.
The live music is provided by the
Over The Hill Collective, a wonderful group of musicians who have been the house band at Acoustic Picnic for years. They perform classic sing-along hits that are sure to get everyone moving and singing along. In addition to the music, there are also arts and crafts materials available for any budding artists, allowing children to express their creativity and explore their imagination.
