I am fundraising for the Old Library Group in Cornholme and Portsmouth by running the York 10K at York on 3rd August 2014. It is a very small, very local group and gets all its funds from what it raises in the Cafe, or room hire or by grants from bodies such as the Peoples Health trust, Lottery or Calderdale Councils small grants fund.
I would like to raise some money to support and help develop the Job Club , Food Bank and also to offer some free lets to local community groups and social enterprises so its easier for them to start up.
At the moment we run a Job Club on Tuesdays and a Food Bank on Wednesdays. They are totally run by volunteers and it would be nice to have a small amount of money to offer people brews, buy food for the bank. pay mileage or pay people to access some training.
As you can see, I am hardly the fittest but knowing you are sponsoring me will help me get round.
