Domestic violence can be eradicated but it needs a depth of understanding of the multiple and complex causes. One way of preventing an often cause of domestic violence in mixed marriages/partnerships is to provide mentoring prior to the union and provide some indication to the couple of possible problems they may face in the years ahead such as disagreements on the children's upbringing e.g 2 parents from different cultures can often clash over such issues.

Our community is multi-ethnic and mixed marriages are becoming more and more frequent and many fail when the different culture between the spouses clash - some of these degenerate into domestic violence

Less Domestic Abuse and failed marriages, less trauma for the children of the partnership, less financial implications e.g benefits from a broken partnership
