A social group for older BME residents of Milton Keynes. It aims to be a point of contact providing information, advice and an opportunity to engage in a range of activities such as yoga, dancing, gardening and occasional day trips.

This project will address issues in the older African Migrant Community in Milton Keynes. As a Minority this group can excluded from the overall community. With this project we aim to include them socially and address issues of concern. The particular issues they face are loneliness and depression health, housing and immigration.

The group will encourage older residents to be healthier and more active. The social interaction will ease social isolation and depression. Individuals will be better informed about the services on offer to them such as health care and housing. There will be people to support them in their own languages.
