Tamworth Samaritans has an ongoing Outreach project with schools, Rail users and other community groups and out on the streets talking to mainly young adults coming home or going out for the night. This project costs about £1000 each year to purchase publicity materials - wallet cards, Beer mats etc and sweets, balloons, Pens, Pencils etc. to publicise and promote the support we provide. These funds enable us to continue to provide this crucial support.

We hope that by reaching out to both young people and adults we can give them the confidence to talk to Samaritans if they are in distress or despair at any time in their life.

Making sure people know who we are, what we do, and where we do it is the primary aim of this outreach project. We hope that the outcomes will be an increase in contacts from both young people and adults and a decrease in suicide.
