I am having a big birthday in May and instead of presents I am asking friends to consider donating to two local charities.
Bath Welcomes Refugees in one of them and helps Syrian people who have had to flee from their country - I can't imagine what that must feel like. Leaving behind everything and everybody you know to arrive in strange countries with no basic necessities and often no language skills.
I try to help in small ways and this is one of them.
