PARC charity outlet opened its doors on Saturday 24th June and was a huge success; some of the many positive comments from customers were "It's just like walking into a shop at Freeport", "It has the best layout of any of the charity shops in Braintree", "quality of the goods are outstanding" and "It has the best range of children's clothes and toys".This will provide additional funding to sustain our services fro disabled children.

Why they need our service

Our aim in this contemporary charity outlet is to train young adults with disabilities to achieve an NVQ in Customer Care, enabling them the chance to gain experience and a qualification that will enhance their career opportunities and build their life skills to be able to use these new skills to make a positive contribution back into our community. It will also be local charity for the local community to support by donating unwanted goods and by volunteering.

Plan and expected results

We aim to improve our financial stability and give more opportunities to our service users by supplying new equipment. We also aim to run new outings for the children in order to enhance their learning & give them the experiences they will benefit from, as well as enjoy. We will also be aiming to raise our profile within the local area & across the county. We will also be offering work experience to young adults with additional needs in order to give them a help getting into the working world.
