A place for the community of North End to gather, make friends, and seek counsel. It is run entirely by volunteers from the local community. Free hot drinks are given to every customer, and food is provided at the cheapest possible price. Unlike commercial cafes, we don't 'encourage' people to leave - in fact our motto is 'Stay As Long as You Like!' In the four years of our initial operation the Cafe community has transformed the lives of many local people. Your support will be appreciated!

How many places do you know in North End where you can simply sit with a free cup of tea for as long as you like, in a warm, friendly and supportive environment? How many places in North End give opportunities for training in catering to those with learning difficulties (which some of our staff have)? The cafe does all this - and also provides a hub for other organisations to come and tell local people what other services are available to them. Its a place for all ages and types of people.

This project doesn't have an end date...A 'successful outcome' for us will be the ongoing life of the Cafe as a valuable hub of our community.
