Hello,
On Sunday 17th September 2017 I will be taking part in the Run Reigate 10k to raise money for Stripey Stork.
Stripey Stork is a local charity that supports children and parents experiencing hardship. They collect donations of new and pre-loved items for babies and children and then recycle clothes, bedding, cots, prams, highchairs and other baby essentials by cleaning and repairing them and making sure they meet safety standards. They receive requests from health visitors, children's centres, social workers, GPs and other agencies (including my own) on behalf of families in need in the East Surrey area. They try and match their stock with what each family needs.
They are dependant on volunteers who help with everything from collecting, sorting or checking donations through to developing policies and procedures to support the organisation as it grows.
All donations go directly to the families that they support, and each item to someone who specifically needs it. The work that they do is invaluable and any money that you could spare to sponsor me would be greatly appreciated and put to good use.
