PLEASE NOTE - TOO CLOUDY TO COMPLETE DIVE AS PLANNED SO BEEN RE-BOOKED IN FOR SUNDAY 2nd
Kelly Watts is a Police Community Support Officer based at Devizes, Wiltshire and has worked for Wiltshire Police for over 10 years. During that time, she has worked closely with The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust team; that has helped thousands to stay safe in their homes after been a victim of crime. It has been one of her personal goals to do a sky dive she thought there was no better way of doing than to combine it with raising money for this great local charity.
She has put through referrals to The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust for victims of crimes such as distraction burglaries, victims of domestic abuse, and older, vulnerable people and it’s wonderful to the effect that the Bobby Van service has, being such a small charity, on making these people feel more secure and safe in their own homes across the whole of Wiltshire and Swindon.
This follows on from the work we do in the police, and provides the follow up that we are not able to provide. Wiltshire Police work in partnership with the Bobby Van Trust to provide this great service.
Kelly says: All the staff of the Bobby Van team are amazing – the two operators who go out to people’s homes, the ladies in the office who coordinate all the work, the two teams of volunteers (one who service cameras and the new team who provide the Stay Safe Online service) and the fundraising team.
The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust Since was established in 1998, and has undertaken 20,355 home visits and attended/delivered 1,004 talks and events during that time.
