2014 is the Mark Gorry Foundation’s 5th year. In 5 years they have spoken with 4,000 people, given out over 40,000 leaflets & info cards to help promote awareness of the signs and symptoms of Testicular Cancer. At the same time they have raised over £180,000 for cancer charities, research projects, and families affected by all types of cancer. That’s pretty awesome. All this by a gang of people who had no idea about Testicular Cancer until their mate got ill. The MGF volunteers and supporters have made a massive difference in 5 years, but there’s still lots more to be done. In November 2014 I’m doing Grow A Beard for Gorry… which is more about awareness… getting people talking about why I’ve grown a beard…. But when one of my mates said, “I’ll give you a tenner if you shave your head”… I thought Nah tenner is just not enough. So, after growing my lovely locks to this marvellous length, I agree to shave my head if we get to £1,000. Challenge accepted. #ToShaveOrNotToShave #BaldForChristmas
