Hi,
Welcome o the fundraising page for the Inaugural Pennine Bridleway Challenge. Come join us on an unsupported ride from the start to the finish 180 miles later of the pennine bridleway route. Using the same formula as the Tour Divide and HT550 its totally self supported riding but short enough for newbies and hardcore alike.
The event is to raise money for Happy Days Homeless Charity.
Happy Days Ministries UK seeks to support vulnerable individuals through the provision of supported community housing, employment, education and training, nurturing them into living purposeful lives for the benefit of themselves and their community.
Whats the problem?
The community we work with is made up of extremely vulnerable individuals suffering poverty on all levels, whose lives have been lost due to addictions, generational chaotic lifestyles and the loss of basic essentials such as safe accommodation, purpose and lack of unconditional love. The problem is not a new one, its one that has been here for many years but a declining economic climate has led to a lack of understanding and negative attitudes in many parts of our society. This led us to question...What is Community? Who are our neighbours? and where can we go for help when in need?
What we do
Through a belief that purposeful community living can help rebuild lives, Happy Days Community has set up intentional communities, based on Christian values. These communities offer safe accommodation and provide unconditional, practical and social support which is bringing about new hope for individuals and their community.
