Pete & Milly's Wedding - The Blurt Foundation

Pete and I decided to both choose a charity to support on our Wedding Day. It was tricky to narrow it down, but we eventually both settled on a charity that is important to us.
I chose The Blurt Foundation, a charity that focuses on raising awareness of depression and anxiety. I've dealt with both of these, and still experience the ups and downs of anxiety. I find Blurt's articles and presence on social media a helpful source for coping strategies, as well as helpful to share with loved ones to help them better understand how and why I'm acting the way I am, and how they might be able to help. Both of these are particularly important when I'm in a space when I can't articulate any of this particularly well. It definitely helped both Pete and I quite a bit early on in our relationship.
I want to raise money for Blurt to help them to keep offering this fantastic support to other people, families and friends that need it. With the continuing rise of social media it's so important that we have supportive charities like this having a prominent presence, so people are able to find support even if they're not fully aware they're looking for it yet.
