SPONSORSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR PETER JACKSON'S CHARITY BIKE RIDE. Peter will be cycling to raise money for DRUM. Peter will set off on 4th May 2013 cycling from Watford to Lymington, cycling the Isle of Wight Randonee on 5th May and cycling from Lymington to Watford on 6th May. Peter will cycle a total of 270 miles.

DRUM is a registered charity and user led group. DRUM provides day services to nearly 70 adults with a physical and/or sensory disability. Services include daily activity sessions in art, ceramics, creative crafts, textiles, sculpture, drama and yoga. We also provide refreshments, lunch, indoor sports and games, leisure and social events. DRUM provides a regular day break and additional support to 100 unpaid carers. DRUM is the only service of this type in Watford and the surrounding area.

New members are often daunted by the range of vibrant artwork they see around them at DRUM, especially if they have not done any art since leaving school. We encourage our members to work with their individual disabilities within an ongoing theme for the art sessions, which can be interpreted in the widest possible sense. Taking part in the sessions can help reduce feelings of isolation and depression, raises member's confidence and helps with their coordination and concentration.
