Peter and Emily Run Total Warrior

Every Year Peter picks an activity that consists of something dangerous, elements of risk and ultimately looks like fun. He did Total Warrior last year and his children went down to watch. His youngest thought it looked great fun, unfortunately she was 11 months too young to compete. So this year he's opted for the same activity, but it's Peter and Emily who will be running, climbing, slipping and sliding around the courses. Peter will complete the 12km, 25 obstacle Total Warrior course. Emily will be completing the 2km, 8-10 obstacle Junior Warrior course. The charity being raised for this year is Carer's Leeds (registered charity number 1058706). Anyone can find themselves in the position of being a carer whether its due to their parents becoming more frail, their partner having a life changing illness/injury, a parent realising their much loved child isn't developing typically, or even teenagers juggling studying with having to look after a chronically sick parent and possibly younger siblings. That's where places like Carer's Leeds are invaluable to these carers, with targetted support groups specifically set for Parent Carers or Young Adult Carers each carer feels like they belong. Coffee mornings are set with refreshments where carers can meet and feel welcomed, advice is always on hand in many differing formats and via differing avenues making it easily accessible to those who need it.
