The phase 1 building project almost doubled the usable floor space of the hall and added an additional meeting room, kitchen, museum and valuable storage space. Although building work is now complete, much work remains to be done to make the hall a finished project. From curtains to cushions, saucepans to scrapers there are a myriad of items that are needed to allow our hall to provide its users with the experience they need. With your help our volunteers can complete the transformation.

Why they need our service

With the enlargement of the hall we need to complete the decoration of both new and existing buildings and much of the equipment from the previous building must be either replaced or enhanced. Our kitchen is now much larger to provide adequate catering facilities for both the phase 1 and phase 2 buildings and requires completely re-equipping. Your donations will help us to purchase decorating materials, equipment and fittings that will allow users to make full use of the facilities.

Plan and expected results

Once phase 1 is complete, the extended hall will provide a comprehensive resource for the local community, offering sporting, leisure, fitness and meeting facilities to those living in Blean and surrounding villages. The additional space in the fully equipped building will enable us to accommodate larger events such as wedding receptions and significant celebration parties. This scope has been further enhanced by the recent purchase of two marquees that can be used to extend the facility.
