So on the 12th October 2014 I will be running the Great Eastern Run, a half marathon, for Peterborough Association for the Blind.
PAB are a fantastic charity who provide support to the visually impaired population of Peterborough. It is hard to imagine the difficulty and anxiety brought about by sight loss, and many who lose their sight find their quality of life significantly impaired. This can all too easily lead to a sense of isolation and loss of self confidence. PAB's network of volunteers and support structure help to reduce these emotional obstacles by helping people take a more active part in the community, as well as signposting people to organizations that provide day-to-day living support.
