Phoenix Fundraisers

WYFRS are returning to the annual Bradford Dragon Boat Race weekend for the 3rd year running! With a victorious win in 2016 and a 3rd place photo finish in 2017, we're hoping that with 2 budding new teams, 2018 will be the year of the Phoenix! This year with 2 teams of 17, we are hoping to raise a great deal towards the local community of Bradford with all of us within WYFRS both reside in and serve. The causes we are trying to raise money for are detailed below: The Lord Mayor's Appeal 2017/2018 50% of proceeds will support the Down Syndrome Training & Support Service in Bingley. The remaining 50% will go to the Wishing Well Appeal which will provide small grants for organisations and smaller groups across the Bradford District. Why the community needs us The DST & SS helps children and young people with Down Syndrome and their families and the professionals who work with them. It is facing a funding crisis and without additional resources will have to further reduce their services, all of which are in very high demand and are often stretched to capacity. The WWA aims to offer small pots of funding so groups can fulfill their dreams and enhance their projects across the Bradford District. Thank you for your support.
