This April, Mark and Harry of Johnson's of Shaftesbury (Part of the Master Removers Group) will attempt something physically demanding and deeply personal - pushing a full-size upright piano more than 100 miles over 6 days to raise money for Men’s Minds Matter.

This challenge is about far more than endurance.

Three years ago, we lost a colleague to suicide. It was a devastating reminder of how silent struggles can go unnoticed. Mark has also experienced nearly losing a close friend, who thankfully survived and is now recovering well.

The removals industry is heavily male-dominated, and too often men feel pressure to stay strong, stay quiet, and “just get on with it.” But holding everything in is not a sign of strength, nor is it macho.

Through this challenge, we want to raise awareness of male suicide, encourage conversations, and raise vital funds so that Men’s Minds Matter can continue their life-saving work.

If pushing a piano can help start even one conversation, it will be worth it.
