Pop up Amaze takes place in school. The children work in small groups and are guided around the different activities by a near peer group leader. The children experience five different zones culminating in an interactive labyrinth. Each activity zone serves a different purpose from healthy eating to peer pressure, to decision making and self esteem. The 'MAZE' is an interactive personal experience; pupils are guided through by a mp3 headset commentary and are empowered to make their own choices.

The Final year of Primary school is well documented as an important year for young people making the transition from primary to secondary school. Pop up Amaze will help pupils learn that they are 'U.S.A' Unique Special and Amazing. We encourage children to learn the importance of decision ownership. They learn it is important to make choices that are based on factual information and not to be persuaded or pressurised by others. The children also learn the importance of looking after their body.

We expect the children to remember us. Many of the pupils we visit in secondary school remember the Maze and talk about it to us with great fondness. We would aim to increase the self esteem of all the young people that visit our project. We would aim through fun and a relaxed atmosphere to enable the young people to look at their choice making skills and be proud of making their own decisions. We aim to prepare the young people for secondary school where there is decreasing parental control.
