Hi,
My name is Alex Price, I’m 24 and work for RBS at Gogarburn. It was at my job that I was made aware of Pedal for Scotland Fundraiser event and I have duly entered.
Pedal for Scotland is an annual event - this year on the 9th of September - where fundraisers cycle across the central belt. I have entered into the classic challenge which is a journey from Glasgow to Edinburgh.
I am honoured to be fundraising and cycling on behalf of a Play Midlothian, a local children's charity. The mission of Play Midlothian is to support children from all backgrounds to flourish through improving there social skills via play.
As well as attempting to cycle this far (a real task for me), I am aiming to do this on the bike I rode whilst growing up. It will be heavily bedazzled - making it more accessible and fun - in keeping with the ethos of Play Midlothian.
45 miles is no mean feat, so I could do with a bit of encouragement! It is on this page that I will be fundraising for this great charity, and I hope you can help kids across Scotland have more fun :)
