NWCS are receiving an increased number of calls from drug and alcohol services who want to refer their own clients to us for longer term counselling support. Project New Generation who are based in the local area will also benefit these young women whose age is from 15 - 30 with counselling support who are in recovery from addictions.
Why they need our serviceProject New Generation will directly benefit communities within in the Radford, Sherwood and Hyson Green area of Nottingham that are struggling to cope with being disadvantaged and isolated, because their life within the community had led to a misuse of drugs and alcohol as a coping strategy. This client group will directly benefit from having access to other people to share their experiences and join therapy groups. Close liaison with supported housing associations, social care support workers
Plan and expected resultsChildren of parents supported by the project will also benefit both emotionally and practically. The project therapies will directly empower the parents to utilise strategies learned to deal with their children's present difficult behaviours; thereby directly affecting a wider client group with the community.
