Well yes I actually agreed to do this and those of you who know me will know I am petrified of water , however I will be getting into a boat with my fellow colleagues @ Bradford Central PRU and rowing a boat..... Yes you read it correctly rowing a boat lol
So please dig deep and donate to help this fabulous charity and feel free to come along on the 7th May to Roberts Park to cheer us along or laugh at us, either is fine!!,!
Bradford Central PRU are raising money for the Lord Mayors Appeal Bradford with the money being split - half going to Bradford hospitals children's charity and half going to the spread a smile appeal. Let me tell you a little about both of these.
A new children's ward will be built for acutely poorly children and young people from accross the district. The NHS will meet the cost of the build however but added extras to make the stay there more comfortable and have the variety of equipment they need to help youngsters the best they can will have to be funded by charity donations. Their wish list includes a sensory room, multi use gym for those with cystic fibrosis. Also to have beds for parents wishing to stay with their own children to help with their care.
The Spead a Smile appeal would be a small grant for organisations an smaller groups accross the Bradford District. it would help to enable these smaller groups to fulfill their dreams and enhance their projects without having to spend pecupious time fundraising and more time making people's wishes come true.
