I am running the Cardiff half marathon october 2022 for Gig Buddies Cymru. Let me tell you about them...

 Gig Buddies Cymru is a befriending scheme that matches people with additional needs with a volunteer who shares the same interests, so they can go to gigs and events together. Gig Buddies Cymru currently works in Anglesey, Bridgend, Cardiff, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf, and Vale of Glamorgan, and Wrexham.

Gig Buddies is great fun. But it's far more serious than that. Having a Gig Buddy can help with:

Loneliness and isolation
Health and well-being
Confidence
Independence

Where will your donation go?

Well...

• £10 - Supports a Gig Buddy to attend an event to promote the project.
•  £75 - Trains one Gig Buddy volunteer so they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to be a great Gig Buddy for someone. 
• £1000 - Funds one Gig Buddy partnership to be matched, trained, and supported for a year
