Sowerby Bridge CC has been absolutely devastated by the Calder Valley Boxing Day Floods. Adie and I are joining the fundraising efforts of the club by doing their 13 mile sponsored walk on the 7th Feb.
The walk starts at Jer Lane CC and finishes at the other side of Halifax at Triange CC, stopping off numerous cricket clubs along the way; Shelf, Northowram HT and Fields, Southowram, Copley, Old Crossleyans, Sowerby bridge, up to Sowerby St Peters then finally on to Triangle CC. If anyone knows me, if it doesn't kill me, it will be a miracle!
Any money you can spare, even just £1 will go towards repairing the enormous amount of damage at Sowerby CC. The clubhouse and field needs a complete overhaul if they are to be able to start the new Cricket season in April. The club not only provides cricket for 3 adult teams, but they have a thriving junior section too. So please, dig deep everyone! Will be much appreciated!
