Rachel's Great North Run Virtual & Solo Challenge
I am currently running the Great North Run Solo challenge for NIWE 🙂 This involves running a minimum of 40 runs in about 10 weeks! Then on the 13th September I am taking part in the Virtual Great North Run - still running a half marathon but on my own and my own route!
NIWE is an amazing local charity who I work for as a counsellor but am also a big advocate. They do lots of excellent work to support both women and men who either have an eating disorder or eating distress. As well as counselling in both their office and Newcastle University, they offer psychoeducation groups, recovery groups, mindfulness courses, groups for parents and carers, training and support in schools. They've also been doing lots of good work online during covid-19. If you'd like to know more about them, check out their website at www.niwe.org.uk
I was meant to be doing the Great North Run this year but as we all know 2020 as been a strange year so instead I am doing this challenge and the Great North Run Virtual!
Well done Rachel!
My student loan is spread thin with getting things to make a home office but here's something at least! Good luck from Ollie!
Thank you to all who have donated so far! I’ve had another £20 from 2 offline donors too :) from my parents, family members and friends. The 49 runs are done now the half marathon!
Go on my amazing Sis!x
