Young Bristol is a youth-driven charity that works to offer a choice of opportunities and experiences for all young people.

Founded in 1928, Young Bristol is a mission-led, values-drive charity, with a focus on supporting young people aged 8 - 25 during their critical out-of-school hours.

Why the community needs us
Our mission is to be an outstanding provider of high quality community-based youth services and innovative programmes that positively and sustainably impact the lives of young people. We do this through our community youth club network based in some of Bristol’s most challenging communities, and a valued provider of outdoor activities, holiday clubs, mobile youth services, as well as outdoor employment and informal educational opportunities.

Our impact

Young Bristol continues to work in some of the most deprived communities in England. At Young Bristol we believe that one size does not fit all, which is why we deliver a wide-range of programmes and opportunities across Bristol, targeting children and young people through early intervention; and preventing young people becoming involved in crime and anti-social behaviour.

Some of our key highlights for 2024 - 25 include:

1,832 sessions delivered in and around Bristol
44 qualifications awarded to young people ages 16 – 25 on our Outdoor Employment Programme
