Hello friends. Some of you know that I am unwell. At the beginning of the year, my lovely friend Mel Valentine and I got ballot places for this year’s Great North Run. Training was going well until the end of June when I received the devastating news that I have breast cancer. I have had one lot of surgery and I’m in the middle of treatment, with numerous ops and procedures to come. With my next surgery now delayed I have decided to still do the GNR on 10 September. (I’ve been told to keep active!). Mel and I are now running for ‘Hug in a bag’. This is a small charity which gives women glamour and hope during breast cancer treatment. I wanted to give something back to those who have helped me immensely. I received my own hug in a bag in July and it’s amazing the thought which goes into producing these bags. With me not being at work to shove a sponsor form under your noses, I’m putting a link at the end of this in case you would like to help as well! Dig deep if you can. If you prefer not to, please keep fingers crossed that we get round in one piece. Thanks a million. Hugs xxx
