Rebekah and William are completing a 5k obstacle course on Saturday 31st March on behalf on Type 1 Kidz. William who is 7 years old fancied doing this challenge with his Aunty Bekah to give something back to a group we have used as a family for support, advice and adventure for Samuel his brother who has Type 1 diabetes. Type 1 Kidz is a project that is facilitated by Investing in Children and supports children and young people with Type 1 Diabetes and their families in North East England, as well as working with Paediatric Hospital Teams to make continuous changes to the services. We have been to several meetings with Samuel and valued the input from other parents as well as Samuel seeing that he’s not the only one with Type 1. William also comes along and joins in with the group meetings and day trips.
