~bit like the other worldy athlete Daley Thompson I've always hated long distance running. So it makes no sense at all that one of my ambitions is to complete an ultra-marathon. This years Manchester Marathon is an opportunity to suck in a bit of self inflicted torture over the traditional 26.2 mile course maybe as a stepping stone towards an ultra one further down the road.
More importantly here lies the opportunity to fundraise for a cause very close to my heart. One of my greatest buddies growing up in Lostock/Stretford is Warren Holden. I was gutted to hear his partner Michaela has a Cancer fight on but very pleased The Riff Raff Society had agreed to help fund their treatment/respite fund.
It is my great pleasure to run this marathon for Michaela alongside Warren who is also doing his bit.
Thanks up front to everyone who supports us. It really means alot to everyone concerned. This couple really need olur support.
Thankyou
Lee
