Hi All, As you may or may not be aware we are currently going through the process of getting an official diagnosis of autism for our son Josh. It has been a difficult time for us with childcare providers not being able to look after Josh and Jo has been forced to give up her Job. He has a place for a few hours a day in a specialist nursery in January and although there are daily challenges we have to deal with( not sleeping in night, needing a consistent routine and much more) we are positive that with the right support and care Josh has a great future ahead of him and hopefully one day he will talk. I am running the Skipton Santa run dressed as Santa (yes here will be photos) inaid of AWARE (Airedale and Wharfdale Autism Resource) who are a local charity that have supported us directly. It is the small local charities and support networks that help so much when trying to go through the difficult process of diagnosis and knowing others have similar difficulties is also of great benefit. Thank you so much for any donation however small.
