Rising Stars Children's Theatre for children 5-10 year olds originated from our Me Time Project completed in 2012. The group has been together since April 2012 exploring a different topic each term through drama and other creative arts. Each term the group work towards a performance which they devise themselves. They also attend trips to spark their imagination and help them explore the topic further.

We create situations where participants can see themselves in a positive light and grow in confidence, to see themselves as active and empowered children and to create opportunities for their families to see them in a positive light. We believe that bringing people together as we do can create greater cohesion and we encourage children to be proud of their background and confident of who they are. GSA creates opportunities for children to achieve.

Summer Term 2012 saw the group learn about WWII and evacuation. Their research took them to Valence House museum and archive, and they created a wonderful presentation to share their learning. The aim is for participants to not only develop arts based skills but to develop personally and socially. We provide a clear progression route as children can join the Junior Group once they reach the required age.
