CURRENT EVENT : to be announced We are fund raising for a wheelchair for Rosie, our dear friend, fellow walker (FF!),crew mate and ladies captain of the Champion of the Thames rowing club. After suffering from a spinal stroke earlier this year, Rosie requires an 'off road' wheel chair to get out and about and to be able to coach crews from the river Cam tow path! Thank you for all your support Rosie’s wheels fundraising crew Zephyrs Boston Marathon Row - 50km/31 miles from Lincoln to Boston on the 15th of September 2013 We want to ensure that the money you raise or donate is put to work in the most effective way possible. To enable this, we are suggesting The John Stewart Memorial Fund which sits within the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation structure (http://www.cambscf.org.uk/)as the 'receiving' fund for donations and money raised from our activities. The John Stewart Memorial Fund (http://www.cambscf.org.uk/john-stewart-memorial-fund.html) was specifically set up to help people in the local community benefit from engaging in sport. Using the Fund means that donations into the John Stewart Memorial Fund attract Gift Aid and, in some circumstances, matched funding. The John Stewart Memorial Fund is making grants to a range of projects and is fully supportive of projects such as this to raise funds for specific types of equipment.
