My name is Ruby King and I am raising money to start-up an ethical fashion project (wardrobe collective/clothing exchange) to reduce consumer waste and to benefit the local community in Frome.

I have joined Edventure (www.edventurefrome.org) as a student and am learning new skills through spending 10 weeks setting up this community enterprise
Edventure Frome runs free courses helping young adults to move towards livelihoods that matter to them.
My own dream is to set up a business producing and selling hand made ethical products like silver jewellery and screen printed textiles.
Longer term, I would like to study as an art therapist.
My interest in helping others as an art therapist comes from my own experience of sustaining a traumatic brain injury in an accident 2.5 years ago. Art has played a major part in my healing, my recovery and in re discovering who I am.
By helping me to reach my fundraising target, you will not only be helping us (me and a team of other students) to start up this ethical fashion project but you will also be supporting me to move towards my dreams.
Finally, I would like to invite you all to an event I will be hosting, during which I will share the story of my life before and after my accident.
