Hi everyone
On 16 September Beatrice will be taking part in her first ever running race.
Bea has asked to be entered into the Run Reigate 1 mile children’s race, and at 4 years old will be one of the youngest competitors. She is massively excited and already asking to go on training runs!
Bea is running as part of Team Stork - running to raise money for a wonderful local charity that works with families going through times of hardship. Bea understands that by taking part she is helping to raise money for other children, so that other children, in Bea’s words ‘might get a proper school bag, or a birthday present because they won’t get any, or nappies for a teeny baby like Archie’.
She won’t be running alone - chris or I will run with her, and Chris is also doing the 10km and I’m doing the 5km - all hoping to raise as much money as possible for Stripey Stork.
Every pound counts - a £5 donation would be enough for a packet of nappies for a baby, or school socks for a child starting school next week. The charity meets operational costs through grants, but relies on donations to buy essential items to add to packs of pre-loved donations, and all donations will go to such a good cause.
