Life has a way of throwing challenges at us, and I’ve seen first-hand how difficult it can be for women when they have to start over. I’ve also seen the incredible things that can happen when the right support, encouragement, and opportunities are in place — confidence grows, new paths open up, and women flourish in every area of their lives.

Unfortunately, not every woman has equal access to that kind of support. Therapy, safe spaces, and networks are often out of reach due to cost, circumstance, or timing — and that isn’t right.

Last year, I was inspired by a powerful speech from Nottingham Women’s Centre. For over 40 years, they’ve provided a safe and inclusive space for women in Nottinghamshire — offering counselling, advice, training, and community support to help women thrive.

When I secured a marathon place, I immediately knew who I wanted to run for. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of visiting the centre and meeting the remarkable women behind it. Their passion and commitment have only deepened my determination to contribute.

Not only will I be running 26.2 miles in their name, but I’m also working with the Centre to explore how we can collaborate — from sharing my experience in business and education to inspire women as they create new paths, to developing initiatives that highlight the benefits of physical activity and movement as a powerful way to build confidence and wellbeing.

By sponsoring me, you’ll be supporting Nottingham Women’s Centre and the vital work they do. Every pound raised will go directly to their services, helping more women access the tools, support, and opportunities they need to grow, thrive, and become the best version of themselves.

Thank you for being part of this journey second time round.
