Life has a way of throwing challenges at us, and I’ve seen first-hand how difficult it can be for women when they have to start over. I’ve also seen the incredible things that happen when the right support, encouragement, and opportunities are in place. Confidence grows, new paths open up, and women flourish.

Sadly, not every woman has equal access to that kind of support. Therapy, safe spaces, and strong networks are often out of reach due to cost, circumstance, or timing and that just isn’t right.

Last year, I was inspired by a powerful speech from Nottingham Women’s Centre. For over 40 years, they’ve provided a safe and inclusive space for women across Nottinghamshire, offering counselling, advice, training, and community support to help women thrive.

When I secured a marathon place, I immediately knew who I wanted to run for. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of visiting the Centre and meeting the incredible women behind it. Their passion has only strengthened my determination to contribute. I’ll be running 26.2 miles in their name, and I’m also working with the Centre to explore future collaboration, from sharing my experience in business and education, to promoting physical activity as a powerful way to build confidence and wellbeing.

You may also know that I’m hosting the Celebrate Her Charity Ball on Friday 6th March, during International Women’s Day weekend, as another way to raise awareness and support for women in our community.

By sponsoring me, you’ll be supporting Nottingham Women’s Centre and the vital work they do. Every pound raised goes directly towards helping women access the tools, support, and opportunities they need to grow, thrive, and create new beginnings.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
