I'm running the Manchester Marathon on 10th October 2021 to raise money for South Manchester Down's Syndrome Support Group, a parent-led support group that supports all families and carers in the area with an interest in Down's Syndrome. In particular their Chatterbox speech and language club has been so helpful for my nephew James. Low muscle tone associated with DS can make it difficult to sound out words. Being able to communicate our needs and thoughts, likes and dislikes is something that most of us do easily. Not being able to do this can be a huge source of frustration and upset and has a massive impact on the family life - so any donation amount would be hugely appreciated to help support this essential group - thank you!
