I'm running my first Marathon in Edinburgh on 24th May 2020!
I've decided to help raise funds for Worktree, the charity that my wife Theresa works for. Worktree provide Career WorkOuts for students in Milton Keynes, a Career WorkOut is a one hour session in which small groups of 3-4 students ask volunteer work guests about their experiences of work in a carousel of 6-7 minute conversations - great way to learn about careers to aspire to, soft skills and about the world of work.
In school year 2018-19 to date (1.7.19), Worktree have delivered a total of 2,089 Career WorkOut session hours to over 7000 Milton Keynes students - booked by 942 employees from 349 companies. 2020 is expected to be 25% more!
So I wasn't going to let her off lightly - Theresa has just started 'running' and I've signed her up for the Edinburgh 5k on 23rd May 2020!
So you will be sponsoring both of us, between us we hope to raise £1000 to help keep the project running
