I am most definitely NOT a runner.

But every day I speak to people who are embarrassed, anxious and most definitely out of their comfort zone, needing to ask for help. So I am going out of my comfort zone to run the Norwich 10k race and asking for YOUR help!

I am doing it as a fundraiser for Norwich Foodbank in part to be accountable to do the race (!) but mainly because I have been working for the charity for 12 years and long for the NEED for foodbank to be ended and to be able to close the foodbank for all the right reasons.

We work in partnership with charities and agencies like British Red Cross, Citizens Advice, Shelter and Your Own Place to help people beyond the provision of food and regularly hear that the face to face support, advice and care makes as much difference (if not more) than the food parcel itself.

Norwich Foodbank is run using donations and grants and so the money raised here will go towards the costs of the service - buying in stock, paying volunteer mileage for those delivering or collecting donations and contributing to the Partnerships.
