When Dexter was born 3 years ago among the many bits of paper, leaflets and various information we were given was a flyer for a new Down's syndrome support group. This was Sunshine and Smiles. The only Down's syndrome support group in Leeds. We went to the first session when he was just a few months old and since then have had the privilege of attending various play sessions, speech and language groups, parties and summer fun days.
Now that Dexter has turned 3 it is a perfect time for us to complete the Leeds Mini 1.5km run. Even better is that Sunshine and Smiles is the runs charity partner this year!
Please can you help us raise some funds for a fab charity and give a little back when they have given us so much. Dexter will complete most of the run in his specialist stroller but with some intensive training who knows, he might just walk across that finish line!!
