We'll be doing a sponsored walk from Willington to Durham City on Saturday 29 June to raise funds for the Ruth First Scholarship. It'll be about 10 miles (16 km).
This year's Ruth First Scholar, Scholastic Mpofu, will be joined on the walk by Mike, Nikki, Liz and Nicole, with back-up from Helen.
Please make a donation to help cover the costs of bringing the next Ruth First Scholar to Durham in 2024-25. The sponsored walk is our most important fundraising activity of the year. Our costs have been rising, so every gift, however small, makes an important contribution.

We made it! We completed the walk on 29 June in much better weather than was forecast. The day was made perfect by a splendid afternoon tea at Old Durham. Many thanks to Helen, Barbara and Tony.
