We are delighted to be supported by our local Sainsbury's store as their charity of the year 2013/14. this will not only help to raise the profile of our charity locally but it will enable us to raise some of the much needed funding for our activities and projects we would like to take place- this ranges from summer schools for VI children to sports days and the purchase of carpets for our youth club...no matter how great or small your contribution is be rest assured it will have a large impact
Why they need our serviceAs a charity we have the difficulty of being asset rich, so we have on paper a large turnover but this is largely due to the fact that we own our properties. Sadly this does not reflect in our out dated equipment or the tired buildings in which we are housed. We woudl like to give St Vincent's and Christopher Grange a new lease of life and believe that this will have a real impact on the lives of our pupils and residents. With the support of you our community and Sainsbury's.
Plan and expected resultsWe aim to create a more cohesive approach to our fundraising, offering inclusion, opportunity and a real chance to engage with our beneficiaries. The difference brightening up a room within the school would make is difficult to measure as it really does have a huge impact on our children. Sport is a large part of our curriculum as people with VI are of greater risk of obesity and therefore exercise and good quality equipment is essential to aid this.
