Working with Southampton FC to offer sporting activity to vulnerable adults to help improve health and well being.
Why they need our serviceThe Society of St James has teamed up with Southampton FC's 'Saints Foundation' to provide a fantastic sports, fitness & education service for vulnerable people in our city. The service is free to all SSJ service users, and with activities 5 days a week, it can significantly improve quality of life, physical & mental health, self esteem, social interaction, goal setting, and motivation. In addition to this it can also create pathways into volunteering, education, and employment.
Plan and expected resultsThis project has already shown to be popular. We hope that with additional funding we will be able to continue offering free sporting activites to our service users.
