I am taking part in a sponsored bike ride from Swinton to Southport on 22nd September 2013 to raise money for the Salfordian Hotel. The hotel provides breaks for Salford people who are disabled and elderly, many of whom are socially isolated. The service is also invaluable for carers as it provides them with a much needed break.
The hotel had to close down in December 2012 as it was in need of repair. Following letters of concern from local people, and through local business and councillor support, the hotel has re-opened. They need funding to keep providing their services for the future.
